OK Magazine reports, Josh Cuthbert has dished on just when fans can expect a new album during an exclusively interview with OK! Online.
Union J - made up of Josh, JJ Hamblet, Jaymi Hensley and Casey Johnson - has just secured new management after coming to the end of a UK tour.
"We’ve got loads of exciting stuff coming up this year we’ve just got new management and behind the scenes for Union J it’s looking very exciting," he told us, when talking about sleep and social media on behalf of Silentnight and with expert Dr Nerina Ramlakhan.
"We’ve been recording and writing some incredible songs with some incredible producers."
Union J's second album, You Got It All, came out in 2014 so fans are more than overdue a third.
"It’s been two years since we released a song, and in my opinion that’s two years too long so we’re very excited to be releasing again," Josh said.
"The rough plan is to release around August time, everything does change, but that is the rough time."
Though the former X Factor star explains that this year, Union J are likely to just release a couple of singles rather than a full studio album.
"Personally, I think that realistically it’s going to be a couple of singles this year," Josh said.
"One in the summer and then one towards the end of the year. Then I think we’ll look to release the full album the start of next year.
Bring on 2018!
